MODELLING OF THE FUEL INJECTION OF MEDIUM SPEED MARINE DIESEL ENGINES
The article presents the stages of modeling fuel injection four-stroke marine diesel engines as a set of functional blocks the flow of the fuel waves, each of which contains a number of inputs and outputs. Determined input quantities of one block are output quantities of other block. Linear, local losses were taken into account and of conditions for the functioning which are appearing in individual stages of the flow of fuel. The formulated model includes the determined values of changing pressures in the working chamber of the drawn up of the cylinder and the course of changes of pressure in the spaces of the injection pump and the injector. It takes aspect of the course of the pressure value as the working output parameter. The influence of different values of the engine load o the pressure course of the in individual spaces of injection apparatus and in the top hat during the working cycle depending on the angle of the turnover of the engine crankshaft have been simulated. In the article mathematical relationships formulated structural and experimental data are used, allowing the calculation of interest parameters and characterizing indicators specific for the simulated process. The model takes into account the different kinds of fuels, and their characteristic values on the course of fuel injection.
