EMITRANSYS as a tool for multifaceted analysis of the development of transport system due to assessment of exhaust emission
The increasing number of vehicles in the world and pollution of the environment result in an increase in emissions reduction requirements. In case of today's transport threats, it is very important to prevent their occurrence and (when that is not possible) reduce their impact on the environment. Relevant activities should be carried out at the level of government, local authorities as well as the private sector. One solution is to use multifaceted analysis in transport systems design. The EMITRANSYS model is a tool for simulating the impact of road transport on the environment, taking into account the mathematical dependence of emission levels of harmful emissions as a function of the technical parameters of road infrastructure as well as the organizational solutions of the transport system and vehicle operating parameters. The possibility of using the tool for multicriteria analysis of the transport system in terms of pollutant emissions for evaluation of current solutions as well as new designs is presented. An analysis of external costs, the determinants of vehicle structure and their impact on emissions of pollutants or inter-industry interactions under different boundary conditions were shown.
